About Us

Polonia and Friends is a group created by Poles from Yeovil and surrounding areas. Our aim is celebration of Polish culture, supporting and integration of our local community.

In particular we focus on:

Organizing family sports and recreation activities for better community integration and interaction
Arranging meetings to exchange experiences and gain new skills (hobby section, board games, common interests, etc.)
Promotion of Polish culture, language and customs (together we celebrate Polish holidays and celebrations, like: St. Andrew’s Day, Children’s Day, St. Nicholas’ Day, etc.), also encourage & support children to learn Polish language
Arranging integration trips, social dancing and family games
Working with local institutions to obtain help or information for our citizens (charity, health, etc.)
Supporting entrepreneur spirit among our members through promotion or information on starting your own business
Providing financial support through securing available grants to various social projects or numerous sports activities for children and adults in our community.
